The Ledger 100
The World’s Most Influential People, Countries, Companies, Institutions and Global Forces
The Ledger 100 is Political Parlays’ flagship global index ranking the people, institutions, countries, companies, technologies and global forces with the greatest enduring influence on the world.
Unlike traditional rankings that evaluate only countries, companies, or political leaders, The Ledger measures influence across every major center of global power—including governments, public officials, corporations, financial institutions, technologies, international organizations, media, currencies, and defining global issues.
Each entity is evaluated using The Ledger’s proprietary methodology, combining AI-assisted research, publicly available information, historical context and editorial analysis to measure long-term global influence rather than short-term popularity or temporary market performance.
The result is a single, continuously evolving index designed to answer one question:
Who and what shapes the world the most? The Ledger 100 serves as the foundation for every Ledger Index, providing a single global framework from which specialized rankings are derived.
The Movement column reflects estimated seven-day ranking momentum rather than changes in Ledger Score. Significant geopolitical events, major policy decisions, technological breakthroughs, military developments, financial conditions and other global events may cause entities to move higher or lower within the rankings while their underlying Ledger Scores remain relatively stable.

Methodology
Every entity is scored using The Ledger’s Six Pillars:
Influence — Ability to shape governments, markets, institutions, populations and global outcomes.
Power — Control over policy, capital, resources, technology, security or institutional systems.
Momentum — Whether the entity’s importance and capabilities are strengthening or weakening.
Media Presence — Its prominence and ability to affect global narratives and public attention.
Global Relations — The extent and importance of its international relationships, dependencies and reach.
Sentiment — How governments, markets, institutions and populations perceive and respond to it.
Every neighboring position is then validated through the Eight Pressure Tests:
- Political Power
- Economic Power
- Military & Security
- Technology & Innovation
- Global Reach
- Decision Authority
- Replaceability
- Systemic Impact
Master Consistency Rule
The Ledger 100 is the flagship master ranking.
Whenever two entities appear in both The Ledger 100 and the same specialized index, their relative ordering must remain consistent.
The Ledger 100 is updated more frequently than individual category indices. As category indices are refreshed, they are reconciled to maintain consistency with the flagship ranking.
A category rank does not become the entity’s global rank. However, an entity ranked lower within a category cannot leapfrog a higher-ranked entity from the same category in the flagship.
Editorial Note
The Ledger 100 measures estimated relative enduring influence. Placement does not constitute approval, endorsement, investment advice, political support or a moral judgment.
Scores are designed to move slowly. Movement should reflect a meaningful change in authority, global reach, strategic importance, momentum or systemic impact—not merely a short news cycle.
Understanding The Ledger 100
The Ledger 100 is built on the principle that global influence cannot be measured within a single category.
Political leaders influence markets. Markets influence governments. Technology reshapes national security. Financial institutions influence economies. International organizations shape diplomacy. Global issues redefine national priorities.
Rather than separating these forces, The Ledger evaluates them together within a unified framework.
Each ranking begins with a Ledger Score, which measures enduring influence using The Ledger’s Six Pillars. Every position is then pressure tested against neighboring entities using The Ledger’s Eight Pressure Tests to validate the overall order of the index. Current events may cause an entity to move up or down over time, but lasting influence is determined by long-term structural power rather than temporary headlines.
The Ledger 100 is intended to provide readers with a structured way to understand how influence is distributed across the world’s most important people, institutions, governments, companies, and ideas—and how that balance changes as global events unfold.
